2 headed mutant sharks are all the rage these days over the internet. I just saw two headed sharks surfacing all over the social media lately. Initially, it felt like a trailer of the movie ‘’2 headed shark attack’’. But, according to researchers, this mutated two-headed shark is no more a hoax when it appeared in the Mediterranean Sea. Shark with two heads do exist and going to turn up across the world, Scientists say.
It is so scary to imagine a shark with two heads and sharp teeth ready to slay anyone. Scientists are struggling to get the two-headed shark embryo as the existence of adult shark with two heads is not likely to be fact.
Back in 2013, two fishermen caught a pregnant bull shark in Florida in the Gulf of Mexico. it was a surprise for scientists when they found out a mutant of unborn offspring in the uterus of the bull shark. Tha scientists are considering this mutant species as the first 2 headed shark that the scientists have found on the record.
What caused the mutated two-headed shark to pop up?
Scientists are still wondering the cause of such birth defects in that species. However, overfishing in some regions of the world has been theorized as a leading cause of physical abnormalities.
The water pollution caused by the human may also be the major reason behind this mutation. However, the humans are not a strong culprit that we can blame for this. According to Valentin Sans-Coma, the genetic disorder may be the biggest cause of 2 headed shark birth.
Well, Fukushima disaster is still spilling radioactive radiations in the ocean that can also cause the extinction of shark species. I think scientists are not talking about it because anything that is beyond the vision of eyes is forgotten soon.
According to researchers, such abnormal mutated offsprings normally don’t survive long after birth but if they defy the odds, they may exist longer. However, being not able to live longer is hindering the researching process.
Who knows a terrifying shark monster may be surviving in the deep sea with all abnormalities. Many researchers studied two-headed shark embryo. These grumpy creatures have more eyes than ever. Popping up of mutated two-headed creature is not new. Back in the 1800s, scientists found many animals with mutated offsprings of two heads and were given the name of ‘’two-faced monsters’’.
Michelle Heupel stated in a magazine
‘’It is unclear whether the two heads will preclude swimming and prey capture, and whether joined internal organs will function adequately.”
Mutated two-headed shark is strange shark species- the species that lay eggs. It is a weird thing that is worrying the scientists. The fact that two-headed sharks have never been found before has been attributed to lack of ability of the mutated embryo to live long after hatching.
